Targhee recognized as great place for families and intermediates

examiner

The Boise Examiner released their annual pre-season list of  Top 10 Ski Chairlifts in the Western US recently and our own Dreamcatcher high-speed quad ranked #1 for intermediates thanks to the access it provides to open powder-filled glades and long groomed cruising runs.

flo_kidslessonFamily Ski Hub also recently chose Grand Targhee Resort as one of their top picks for families, citing our consistent snow conditions, uncrowded slopes, our secluded beginner area and excellent ski school and childcare programs.  Our NEW $19 Junior lift ticket (kids age 6-12) makes Targhee an unbeatable value for families this winter as well.

Well, yes.  But we’re talking about a unique group of mtb racers here.  100 miles on a mountain bike, as fast as you can go?  Only the top sadomasicists athletes on wheels sign up for that sort of pleasure and pain.

This past Saturday a group of these challenge-seekers descended upon Grand Targhee Resort for the inaugural Pierre’s Hole, a 25 mile loop of mostly singletrack gaining a blistering 4600 feet in elevation on each lap.
