Winter arrives on September 30

Director of Special Events, Mountain Biking Trails, Music Festivals and all-around Targhee hero Andy Williams indulges in a between-season employee perk after 14+ inches of snow at the ghee.

sept09_snow_andyskis_blogSeptember 30, 2009 will go down in the Targhee history books as one of our more significant early season snowstorms.  Over fourteen inches was recorded at mid-mountain and brought out a handful of powder-hungry locals who couldn’t resist the Fall freshies.

Around this same time every year I get the same bug to go snowboarding, and I’m pretty much a “condition checking fiend” until I get my first turns in. I’ve never been to Wyoming, but after going to Idaho and Utah the last two seasons and seeing these pictures, I might have to save up for a trip IMMEDIATELY. Have a great season!!
