Winter arrives on September 30
Director of Special Events, Mountain Biking Trails, Music Festivals and all-around Targhee hero Andy Williams indulges in a between-season employee perk after 14+ inches of snow at the ghee.
September 30, 2009 will go down in the Targhee history books as one of our more significant early season snowstorms. Over fourteen inches was recorded at mid-mountain and brought out a handful of powder-hungry locals who couldn’t resist the Fall freshies.

Here’s hoping this is a sign of a snowy winter to come!

Around this same time every year I get the same bug to go snowboarding, and I’m pretty much a “condition checking fiend” until I get my first turns in. I’ve never been to Wyoming, but after going to Idaho and Utah the last two seasons and seeing these pictures, I might have to save up for a trip IMMEDIATELY. Have a great season!!
