Get your ski season mojo flowing at the premiere of RE:Session on November 14 at the Spud Drive-In, the 13th installment in a legacy of envelope-pushing ski porn from our local boys at Teton Gravity Research. Local artist and winter snowsport enthusiast Esmeralda Gonzales Estrada recently won the National Ski Area Association’s (NSAA) 10th Annual National Kids’ Safety Poster Contest. Esmeralda won “Most Creative Safety Message” for her colorful depiction of the skiers and snowboarders Responsibility Code. She received a Pro-Tec helmet, and will also receive a season pass from Grand Targhee Resort for the 2009/10 winter season, a full day private lesson with our Director of Ski and Snowboard School Mark Hanson, and lunch with our General Manager Scott Pierpont. Congratulations Esmeralda!

Today our Ski Patrol Director Mike Kelly was joined by Jim Robertson and Kurt Kluegel from the Caribou-Targhee National Forest and Entomologist Laura Lazarus to follow up on a Douglas Fir and Whitebark Pine Management project that is part of our sustainable ecosystems efforts here at the resort.
